City of Ekurhuleni Community Bursary Programme 2027

Introduction:

The City of Ekurhuleni invites applications from academically deserving and needy students who intend to study towards the below-listed qualifications on a full-time undergraduate basis for the 2027 academic year. 

Qualification:

• Built Engineering: Civil, Electrical Engineering, Property Studies, Building and Construction Management, Geomatics/GIS.
• Information and Communications Technology: Bachelor of Information and Communications Technology in Internet of Things (BICT in IoT), BSc in Computer Science and Informatics (Specialising in Artificial Intelligence), Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSc IT)
• Finance: BCom Accounting and Finance, Logistics and Supply Chain.
• Environmental Health Sciences: Environmental Health, Occupational Health and Safety, Water Quality and Waste Management.                                                                                                                  

Eligibility:

• Be a South African citizen who are permanent residents of the City of Ekurhuleni (proof required).
• Between 18 to 35 years of age.
• Having completed Grade 12.
• Have secured an acceptance letter or proof of registration for the 2027 academic year.
• Proof of household income (salary slips, stamped bank statement with an affidavit).
• Social grant proof if applicable.

The bursary is renewable annually, based on academic performance.
