Bursary Summary:

Applications for the KPMG Bursary 2027 are open! KPMG offers two bursary options for students pursuing a SAICA-accredited qualification and a future career as a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)):

  • Pure Merit Bursary - awarded based purely on academic performance.
  • Merit Bursary with Financial Need - for academically strong students who require financial assistance.

  • SAICA-accredited Accounting qualifications
  • Chartered Accountancy pathway (CA(SA)) 

Eligibility Requirements Applicants must

  • Be studying a SAICA-recognised degree full-time
  • Complete their degree in the minimum prescribed time
  • Meet the required academic performance criteria for their year of study 

Academic Requirements

  • Matric: 4 A's (excluding Life Orientation)
  • First Year: 65% average and 70% Accounting
  • Second Year: 65% average and 65% Accounting
  • Third Year: 60% average and 60% Accounting
  • Honours/CTA: 50% average and 55% Accounting 

Application Process

Complete the online application and upload all required supporting documents. KPMG will assess applicants and determine which bursary option they qualify for. Successful bursary recipients will be required to enter into a learnership (training contract) with KPMG after completing their studies.
