About the National Student Bursary Office
The National Student Bursary Office (NSBO) at Rosebank International provides strategic oversight and leadership of the institution’s bursary portfolio. The Office supports equitable access to higher education by facilitating funding opportunities for students and working collaboratively with funding partners and stakeholders to contribute to student access, academic progression and success.
Our Purpose
We are committed to reducing financial barriers to higher education by creating and facilitating meaningful funding opportunities for eligible students. Through a well-governed and sustainable bursary portfolio, the NSBO supports student opportunity while building partnerships that contribute to access, progression and student success.
Our Bursary Portfolio
The NSBO manages and coordinates a diverse portfolio of bursary opportunities, which may include: · Institutional Bursaries- Funded directly by Rosebank International. · Externally Funded Bursaries- Funded through external funders, sponsors and partners. · Targeted Funding Opportunities- Funding aligned to specific student groups, programmes or strategic priorities. The availability and scope of bursary opportunities may vary according to funding availability, programme requirements and funder priorities.

The NSBO provides a structured and collaborative approach to the management of bursary programmes and funding partnerships. We work with funding partners and stakeholders to understand their objectives and support bursary initiatives that create meaningful opportunities for students. Applications for the KPMG Bursary 2027 are open! KPMG offers two bursary options for students pursuing a SAICA-accredited qualification and a future career as a Chartered Accountant (CA(SA)): • Pure Merit Bursary - awarded based purely on academic performance. • Merit Bursary with Financial Need - for academically strong students who require financial assistance. Fields of Study • SAICA-accredited Accounting qualifications • Chartered Accountancy pathway (CA(SA)) Eligibility Requirements Applicants must: • Be studying a SAICA-recognised degree full-time • Complete their degree in the minimum prescribed time • Meet the required academic performance criteria for their year of study Academic Requirements • Matric: 4 A's (excluding Life Orientation) • First Year: 65% average and 70% Accounting • Second Year: 65% average and 65% Accounting • Third Year: 60% average and 60% Accounting • Honours/CTA: 50% average and 55% Accounting Application Process Complete the online application and upload all required supporting documents. KPMG will assess applicants and determine which bursary option they qualify for. Successful bursary recipients will be required to enter into a learnership (training contract) with KPMG after completing their studies.

The DFFE Bursary 2027 provides comprehensive financial support to South African students pursuing qualifications in environmental, forestry, fisheries, and related fields such as marine biology, climate change, engineering, and environmental law. In addition to covering tuition and study costs, the programme offers full-time Grade 12 learners and undergraduate students a pathway into meaningful careers dedicated to protecting South Africa's natural resources and environment. The bursary aims to nurture future environmental professionals and leaders by supporting their academic development and strengthening their readiness for careers within the environmental and conservation sector.
